Maor Winery is a premuim family winery located in Ramot, Ramat Hagolan, Israel. The winery was established and is owned by Danny and Tal Maor.

First Harvest took place in 2003, and 3200 bottles of 'Maor Cabernet Sauviognon 2003' were made. The wine got very good rankings from verious wine appriciators and wine magazines.

At this point in time we are producing about 6000-8000 bottles a year. Please read more in our wines page.

Our Vision:

We try to make very good wines. As simple as it may sound, it is not an easy task. We keep the highest standards we can from the vineyard to the bottle, and we use the most high-quality and modern equipment. We beleive in the Golan as a leading Terroir and we do our best to preserve it.

What's New In Maor Winery

 

April 2008:

Maor Syrah 2005 was released!

February 2008:

1800 bottles of Maor 2005 were bottled

August 2007:

2007 harvest has began! We've harvested our Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, and we will harvest Cabernet Sauvignon and more Syrah during September.

Maor Syrah 2005 was bottled. (297 bottles...) We expect to release the wine to the market on April 2008.

July 2007:

We are planting 20 Dunams of vineyards in Phares area in the Golan Heights. 

July 4th 2007: 

We've bottled 6000 bottles of wine in the winery. 1800 bottles of 'Maor 2004' and 4200 bottles of 'Maor Classic Cabernet Sauvignon 2005'. Both wines will be released in 6-8 months.

June 30 2007:

'Maor Cabernet Sauvignon 2003' has sold out. We saved ourselves a few bottles for the winery archive. The wine can still be found in some of the stores and resturants.

April 2007:

'Maor Classic Cabernet Sauvignon' was released.
