Maor series wines

Maor Winery has three wine series: Tel Fares Givat Orcha Cherry and two other wine series produced in the past: Maor Classic

Maor Tel Fares Series: Maor 'Tel Fares' is the winery's flagship wine. This is a boat-based red screen from the finest plots in our vineyard in Tel Fares. The wine continues the tradition of the winery 'Syrah' wines produced from 2005 to 2009. Every year we choose the best barrels of our boat, with a little addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, creating the perfect blend and leaving in barrels for further aging. The wine is aged for a total of over two years in used oak barrels and another two years in a bottle before being released for sale. The wine is named after Tel Fares, which is one of the most prominent wires in the Golan Heights and borders the growing area to the north. Wine Details Maor Givat Orcha Series: From the Givat Orcha series there are three wines: Givat Orcha Red, White and Pink. These are wines that are accessible to a wide range of target audiences, suitable for accompanying light meals as well as festive and complex meals, and are sold at a very fair price in relation to their quality. The wines are named after Givat Orcha, which borders the growing area to the south. Details of the wines Cherry series: kosher red wine. From a screen of Cabernet Sauvignon and a boat from the finest plots of the winery. Creates in natural spontaneous fermentation with melolactic fermentation in barrels, and another year and a half aging in barrels. This is a 'new world' style wine with a hint of the Australian Cabernet-Shiraz ionization style. Wine Details Maor Series: The Maor Series has been the winery's flagship series since its establishment in 2003. This year, Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested from a vineyard in the Upper Galilee for the production of the winery's first wine: Maor Cabernet Sauvignon 2003. Danny Maor screens a combination of these two varieties and since then Maor has been producing Cabernet Merlot from a number of vineyards in the Golan Heights in the Upper Galilee almost every year. In 2005, Syrah grapes were harvested for the first time from two vineyards in the Golan Heights, and a total of about 300 bottles of Maor Syrah were produced, which were praised. Until 2010, two wines in the series were produced each year. The winemaker's personal attention to all stages of growing the grapes up to the vintage, manual harvest at the appropriate time and an uncompromising production process are reflected in the Maor series wines: Maor Cabernet Merlot and Maor Syrah. The wines in the series were aged in used French oak barrels for 24 months, and another year to a year and a half in a bottle. The wines are characterized by full body, soft tannins and balanced acidity and potential for improvement in the bottle. The production of the Maor series wines ended with the transition to full-time work on the basis of our vineyard in Tel Fares. The latest 'Cabernet-Merlot' is from the 2010 vintage, and was replaced by the red wine from the 'Cherry' series. The latest 'boat' light is from the 2009 vintage, and was proudly replaced by 'Tel Fares' 2010 onwards. Although the Maor series wines have not been produced for several years, they are alive and well. Every wine from the Maor series, of any kind and from any year that has recently opened at appropriate events has been fresh and happy and ready to drink.

Maor Syrah 2007

Tobacco and a box of cigars and a sweet mouth. Not as heavy as in 2005. Definitely a wine for food - red meat, with herbs like thyme, and high salinity. I would definitely be happy to bring the wine to the restaurant, and drink from it. (Sagi Cooper) The style and character of this wine offers something between the two previous vintages. Very boat, very spicy, rich but not bombastic. not heavy. Good wine, very boat, very Israeli, not very complex, step up against the previous two in balance - and a lot of curiosity for the future. (Eldad Levy)

Maor Cabernet - Merlot 2007

Slightly mature odors of mildew and old skin that take on new life after a happy encounter with air in the glass. Then comes a fresh fruit, with a medium body and a long finish. (Eldad Levy) Some celery, in the nose. The mouth is very good. Very smooth and beautiful map for drinking. Musk and coming to market these days. A good wine, with the potential of a few good years. (Sagi Cooper)

The grapes used to produce the new Guest Hill series come from this vineyard.

Cabernet-Merlot-Syrah Classic 2008

The making is more in line with what Danny Maor sees as 'restaurant wine'. A beauty of a wine with very much from the boat: lots of meatiness in the nose. Some flowers. The mouth is smooth, good and balanced, and also less tannic than the other wines. Preserves the structure well - good acidity and pleasant 'pepper'. (Sagi Cooper) Vineyards: Mount Meron - Kfar Shamai, 60% Cabernet, 30 Merlot. An accessible, fresh, not heavy, delicious wine. The boat is very noticeable despite not a high percentage (about 10%). Flowers and cherries, surely someone will tell me cherry blossoms. Whatever. Pleasant and delicious I have already said, so what is left to add. Successful matriculation exam, very "blend restaurants" in character. (Eldad Levy) The wine is out of stock at the winery
