Classic light wines

Classic series

Classic series wines were produced along the vines from a number of vineyards in the Golan Heights and Mount Meron. The wines are aged for a year in used French oak barrels and then for another year in a bottle. The wines in the series are accessible for drinking and are very enjoyable and fresh. 2009 is the last year we have produced wine for this series. From the 2010 vintage, with the move to our vineyard in Tel Fares, we are producing a series called Maor Givat Orcha, whose characteristics are similar to the classic series wines. The grapes used to produce the new Guest Hill series come from this vineyard.

New! Maor Classic 2016

Maor Winery is releasing a special and limited edition for the site's customers only! After a 7-year hiatus in which the 'Maor Classic' series was not created, and instead the 'Givat Orcha Adom' series was very successfully produced and sold, we decided to put some interest in our loyal customers, and return to your wine refrigerators the favorite wine that was our hot product many years ago. The wine is bottled in small quantities and will only be sold directly to private customers, and is not found in shops and restaurants. The wine is made from Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our vineyard in Tel Fares. Spent a little over a year in French oak barrels and over a year in a bottle before marketing. Over the past few weeks we have started dripping small samples for regular customers and colleagues, and here is the opinion we received: "Hi Danny - the wine is round and ready to drink !!! The two bottles are a few friends. When you have time, arrange a box for me ... "Page Maor Classic 2016 in the website store

Cabernet-Merlot-Syrah Classic 2008

The making is more in line with what Danny Maor sees as 'restaurant wine'. A beauty of a wine with very much from the boat: lots of meatiness in the nose. Some flowers. The mouth is smooth, good and balanced, and also less tannic than the other wines. Preserves the structure well - good acidity and pleasant 'pepper'. (Sagi Cooper) Vineyards: Mount Meron - Kfar Shamai, 60% Cabernet, 30 Merlot. An accessible, fresh, not heavy, delicious wine. The boat is very noticeable despite not a high percentage (about 10%). Flowers and cherries, surely someone will tell me cherry blossoms. Whatever. Pleasant and delicious I have already said, so what is left to add. Successful matriculation exam, very "blend restaurants" in character. (Eldad Levy) The wine is out of stock at the winery
