The vineyard

Maor Winery

Tel Fars Vineyard

Our Tel Fares vineyard was planted in 2007, after being utilized for wine production during several years by a wide variety of selected vineyards in the Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee area. During these years we carefully examined the nature and quality of the vineyards, and optimized our mix of grape varieties. We also studied how the various treatment methods effect the wine.

The vineyard is managed by our dedicated winemaker Ofer Turgeman and under the guidance of Danny Maor - the winery's winemaker.
The varieties planted in the vineyard include: Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon. We plan on adding more varieties, both red and white soon.

Quality Vs. amount of grapes
We place great emphasis on the quality of our grapes in order to achieve the highest quality of wine, even at the expense of a lower yield.

One vineyard
Since 2010 all of Maor Winery Wines are grown on the Tel Fares vineyard, which makes the winery unique in Israel as the only non, varieties or blends, are single-vineyard wines.
